South Carolina catcher Dalton Reeves discusses the season and coaching turnover on SportsTalk Wednesday night (AUDIO) #Gamecocks
Catcher Dalton Reeves concluded his career at South Carolina Sunday in the regional loss to James Madison. Now, he wants to give instruction to younger players and is reaching out on his social media platforms to reach interested individuals. Reeves joined us on SportsTalk Wednesday night and reflected on his outstanding season and future plans.
Reeves, who played a pivotal role in the Gamecocks’ success with a .294 batting average, 11 home runs, and 34 RBIs, expressed hope for a career in the pros. However, he is also passionate about coaching if the pros doesn’t work out.
Reflecting on his season, Reeves highlighted standout moments, such as hitting two home runs against Georgia and driving in six runs against Presbyterian.. He also had notable defensive stats, including 13 putouts in a game against Texas A&M. He credited the South Carolina coaching staff for his development and success.
Reeves concluded by discussing his coaching aspirations, inspired by his own coaches’ dedication. He aims to mentor young players and plans to offer both in-person and virtual coaching sessions to reach a broader audience, demonstrating his commitment to the sport and passion for nurturing young talent.
