South Carolina basketball live score updates vs Auburn in top 15 SEC game
The South Carolina basketball turnaround continues.
The Gamecocks, who were picked to finish last in the SEC in the league’s preseason poll, are instead tied with Alabama for the SEC lead with seven games remaining.
The first of those games has South Carolina (21-3, 9-2 SEC) traveling to Auburn (19-5, 8-3) on Wednesday (8:30 p.m., SEC Network).
The Gamecocks already have 21 victories after losing 21 games a year ago and will be riding a seven-game SEC winning streak into Auburn’s Neville Arena, where the Tigers are on a 16-game winning streak, including a 12-0 mark this season.
South Carolina is ranked 11th in the latest USA TODAY Coaches Poll while Auburn is 12th.
Auburn is one victory away from notching its sixth 20-win season in the last seven under 10th-year coach Bruce Pearl.
