South Carolina basketball lands Illinois transfer Bosmans-Verdonk

COLUMBIA – New South Carolina basketball coach Lamont Paris and his employees proceed to hit the switch portal to fill out his first roster for 2022-23.

On Wednesday, USC landed its fourth participant from the portal since Paris’ hiring, garnering a dedication from Illinois ahead Benjamin Bosmans-Verdonk, who made the announcement on Twitter.

The The 6-foot-8, 235-pound  Bosmans-Verdonk, a local of Belgium, has three years of eligibility remaining and entered the portal final month.

Paris and his employees had three scholarships vacant and now there are two spots left for the Gamecocks following Bosmans-Verdonk’s dedication.

Bosmans-Verdonk ahead brings much-needed measurement to USC’s frontcourt, the place it misplaced two forwards from final season’s staff after the firing of former coach Frank Martin.
