South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer and three Gamecocks are in Dallas for the 2024 SEC Football Kickoff Media Days at the Omni Dallas Hotel.
South Carolina is scheduled for the opening day of the four-day event. SEC commissioner Greg Sankey will speak first, before representatives from LSU answer questions from media. South Carolina will be the second team to speak Monday.
Beamer is coming off a 5-7 season in 2023 and will be without quarterback Spencer Rattler, who started and led the Gamecocks the past two seasons. Beamer named redshirt freshman LaNorris Sellers the new starting quarterback after the spring practices, but Sellers will not be in Dallas.

Which South Carolina football players are at 2024 SEC Media Days?
Alex “Boogie” Huntley, Luke Doty and Debo Williams will represent the Gamecocks on Monday.
Doty, a redshirt senior, has split time at quarterback, wide receiver and special teams. Doty has been with the Gamecocks his entire college career and played in all 12 games last season.
Huntley, a defensive tackle and returning captain, also brings experience as he’s played in at least one game for the Gamecocks every season the past four years.
Linebacker Debo Williams can easily be called the glue to the defense. He’s spent three years with the Gamecocks after starting his career in his home state of Delaware. He was also named captain in 2023.
