Officials in South Carolina warn public not to touch debris after U.S downs Chinese spy balloon
MYRTLE BEACH (WTVD) — Officers in South Carolina are warning residents to contact authorities in the event that they see particles from a Chinese language spy balloon that was downed Saturday afternoon.
The North Myrtle Seashore and Horry County police departments posted on Fb advising to pay attention to the particles in space waters. Police mentioned items of the balloon are being collected by the U.S navy and that some might have washed ashore.
Police mentioned the particles is part of a federal investigation and shouldn’t be touched, moved or eliminated.
“Members of the US Army are coordinating to gather particles from the ocean; nevertheless, it’s potential fragments might make it to the shoreline,” Horry County Police mentioned.
