Jalen Brooks is reportedly again with the South Carolina Gamecocks. The information comes from Ben Portnoy of The State, citing “a number of college sources.”

Brooks final performed for South Carolina within the Tennessee recreation on Oct. 9, 2021. Per Portnoy, “Brooks has been away from this system for undisclosed causes since early October.”

In March, Brooks was faraway from South Carolina’s on-line roster. Shane Beamer instructed reporters that month that Brooks was not a part of this system. Beamer reportedly not too long ago instructed the Gamecock Membership in Florence that Brooks’ standing can be addressed “as we get into the month of June.”

Brooks remains to be not listed on the 2022 on-line roster, although his on-line bio from the 2021 roster is an lively web page on the crew web site. Portnoy notes that pages for gamers who’ve left this system are sometimes inactive.

Brooks joined South Carolina forward of the 2020 season. He was initially ineligible as a consequence of transferring twice from Tarleton State and Wingate. After South Carolina appealed, Brooks was cleared by the NCAA for the 2020 season.

Brooks, who was First-Group All-South Atlantic Convention at Wingate, has performed in 12 video games over the previous 2 seasons. With the Gamecocks, Brooks has recorded 25 catches for 281 yards and a landing.
