Meechie Johnson Jr. will switch to South Carolina and play for first-year coach Lamont Paris, in line with posts on his social media pages Monday.

Johnson Jr. entered the switch portal earlier this month. He was dedicated to the Buckeyes as a top-100 recruit, and performed in 43 video games for the Buckeyes, averaging 3.2 factors and 1.1 rebounds per recreation.

He turns into the third participant to decide to Carolina this month, after the Gamecocks misplaced seven gamers to the switch portal since Paris’ hiring in March.
