Earthquake reported in South Carolina

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported near Elgin, South Carolina on Saturday.

According to the USGS, the earthquake had a magnitude of 2.1 and a depth of 3 kilometers. It hit 4.2 miles southeast of Elgin at 1:46 p.m.

The agency mentioned that it was also 20.3 miles northeast of Columbia.
