19th ranked Auburn shuts down South Carolina 2-0 to complete series sweep

AUBURN (USC SID) – The College of South Carolina baseball workforce was shut out by No. 19 Auburn, 2-0, Sunday afternoon (April 24) at Plainsman Park. Auburn took all three video games from the Gamecocks this weekend.

Auburn scored single runs within the second and fifth innings on an RBI double from Nate LaRue and and RBI single from Blake Rambusch, respectively.

Carolina had a few scoring possibilities miss by inches. Josiah Sightler seemed to have hit a two-run dwelling run within the sixth body however Mike Bello introduced it again for a fly out. Then within the eighth, Carolina had two runners on and Brandt Belk on the plate. He was inches away from a double however it was foul. He then struck out and a double play adopted to finish the inning.

Will Sanders allowed seven hits and two runs in 5 innings within the loss. Cade Austin got here in and had 4 strikeouts, permitting simply two hits with no runs in three innings.

Talmadge LeCroy and Belk had two hits apiece to tempo Carolina’s offense.
