ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA/KAIT) – An Oklahoma woman is working to get her lost dog back after it ended up at a shelter in Northwest Arkansas.

Content partner KNWA spoke to Courtney Baird, who explained her dog, Jax, was stolen while family members were taking care of him as she was in and out of the hospital between October and December 2023.

“I just lost it really and cried for so many days,” she said.

Baird explained Jax ended up in a Washington County shelter and was transferred to a Kansas City, Missouri shelter where he was adopted in January.
