Oklahoma teachers enjoy three-day road trip, ag adventure | The Journal Record

A number of dozen lecturers from throughout Oklahoma took half in an “agricultural journey” not too long ago, investigating farms and different ag venues alongside Route 66 in western Oklahoma.

The three-day excursions had been open to all Oklahoma early childhood, elementary, center faculty and highschool lecturers. The Oklahoma Beef Council was the first sponsor.

“The street journey encourages lecturers to show their college students about agriculture by offering hands-on studying experiences and actual, genuine interactions with precise agricultural producers,” stated Annie Davis, who coordinates the state’s Ag within the Classroom program. “My favourite a part of the journey is when lecturers have the ‘aha’ second, realizing how they will use this info with their college students.”

The educators had alternatives to work together with farmers and ranchers who focus on all the pieces from no-till cotton manufacturing to bison manufacturing. Lt. Gov. Matt Pinnell briefly joined the lecturers to thank them for what they do and to share his views in regards to the significance of the ag trade.
