TULSA, Okla. –
Langston University named its new nursing facility after former Tulsa City Councilor Jack Henderson.
Henderson graduated from the school and has supported various projects at Langston.
He said Langston has one of the best nursing programs in the country and he’s honored to be recognized. “First of all I’d never even imagine a building being named after me, especially from a historically Black college and a historical district Greenwood so that’s like a double whammy,” Henderson said.
The health and nursing facility opened last year and has about 80 students.
