The NC State Wolfpack won five games in five days to win the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament championship game, defeating the UNC Tar Heels 84-76. It has been 37 years since NC State won the tournament championship,
NC State jumped out to an early lead over North Carolina in the opening minutes of the ACC Basketball Tournament, but the Tar Heels closed the gap and took the lead 40-39 at the half. The Wolfpack showed no signs of fatigue in the first half, despite this being their fifth game in as many days.
