North Carolina murder suspect pursuit ends on I-59 at MM 57
FORREST COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) – We have been told that the law enforcement pursuit of a North Carolina murder suspect came to a close around mile marker 57 at Interstate 59.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol told us that Troop K pursued the suspect northbound on I-59. The subject is in custody.
Mississippi Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed police activity in the area.
MDOT said the left southbound lane of I-59 is blocked. The northbound inside lane is also blocked around MM 57.
Law enforcement is on the scene directing traffic.
