Landel and Priima, the No. 16 seed, misplaced to No. 1 Theo Brunner of Torrance and Chaim Schalk of Gardena, 21-18, 21-16.

Landel and Priima face No. 8 Billy Allen of Redondo Seaside and Jeremy Casebeer of Santa Barbara in contender’s bracket motion Saturday at midday.

Landel is a former All-American for UC Santa Cruz who serves as interim head coach of the lads’s indoor crew.

Foreman named to U20 nationwide crew: UCSC’s Dylan Foreman, named to Staff USA’s Below-20 Seaside Volleyball Nationwide Staff final month, will compete within the 2022 CAZOVA U23 Seaside Volleyball Tour in Trinidad & Tobago on Aug. 19-21.

Foreman, a 6-foot-5 exterior who hails from Santa Barbara, hit .309 with 44 kills in six matches his freshman yr with the Banana Slugs.
