CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two nonprofit organizations partnered to host a coat drive for homeless neighbors forward of frigid temperatures.

Roof Above and Disaster Help Ministry had almost 300 free coats for folks in want Thursday morning. 

James Scott, who doesn’t have a house in the mean time, lined as much as get a coat. 

“I’m searching for a jacket to remain heat and [hope] everyone can have a pleasant Christmas,” Scott stated.
