Bottlenose dolphin dies after becoming stranded in Atlantic Beach
ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. (WTVD) — The North Carolina State College Heart for Marine Science and Expertise is working to find out how a dolphin that was stranded at Atlantic Seaside died.
The middle shared a photograph of the 8-foot-6-inch male bottlenose dolphin on its social media web page.
In response to CMAST, the dolphin was already useless when officers from the North Carolina Division of Marine Fisheries arrived on the seaside.
Officers stated a necropsy shall be carried out to find out the reason for demise.
