1 Person Reported Killed in Fire at North Carolina Home

ELIZABETHTOWN, N.C. (AP) — One individual was killed in a hearth at a house in southeastern North Carolina, a hearth marshal’s workplace stated Friday.

The Bladen County Fireplace Marshal stated that though the fireplace was known as in at 8:20 a.m., the charred stays discovered by firefighters once they arrived advised the fireplace had began round midnight, WWAY reported.

The only-wide house was the final home of a dead-end street. The hearth marshal’s workplace stated a preliminary investigation confirmed it was an older house the place its believed there have been no smoke detectors in place.

Authorities did not reveal the sufferer’s id or how they died pending outcomes from the Workplace of the Chief Medical Examiner in Raleigh.
