Bystanders are reporting “a fierce hearth” at historic Hope Farm this night.
The home, situated at 147 Homochitto St., was added to the Nationwide Register of Historic Locations in 1975.
“It’s one of many oldest properties in Natchez and this area,” Historic Natchez Basis Government Director Carter Burns stated whereas standing throughout the road from the house. “It was as soon as dwelling to the Spanish governor.
