Two Mississippi Museums to host historic MPAT ceremony for 17 aspiring real estate appraisers

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Two Mississippi Museums is internet hosting the nation’s first Mississippi Sensible Appraiser Coaching ceremony for 17 aspiring actual property appraisers in Mississippi at 6 p.m. on August 24.

Mississippi’s main Appraisal Educator Melissa Bond designed, developed, and carried out this MPAT program, which is run below the authority of the Mississippi Appraisal Board.

“Mississippi is main the nation with this progressive pathway to licensure,” Govt Director of MS Coalition of Appraisers Jean M. McCarty stated. “That is the pilot program for the nation. The standard pathway to licensing has a number of challenges related to it, and this program was developed to assist alleviate these boundaries to entry.”

Bond says there’s a nationwide scarcity of appraisers, particularly in rural areas.

“This system is designed to reinforce the present actual property appraiser inhabitants inside our state, particularly specializing in the areas of the state which have an inadequate variety of appraisers. It’s also the intention of this program to hunt out people that may higher mirror the general inhabitants of the state by actively recruiting a extra numerous group of underrepresented people,” stated McCarty.

The MPAT program is totally funded by a federal grant from the Appraisal Subcommittee.
