Three contestants take home Miss Mississippi awards during Thursday preliminary

Round 2 of the Miss Mississippi Scholarship Program’s 91st annual competition wrapped up Thursday night with three contestants taking home awards.

Contestants are split into three groups, with each group competing in one contest every night in preliminaries beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Thursday’s saw three preliminary awards handed out, as compared to two Wednesday night.

After the preliminaries are done Friday night, Saturday night will feature the finale with the crowning of a new Miss Mississippi at the Vicksburg Convention Center.

Here is a look at who won awards Thursday night.

Miss Mississippi 2024 Thursday night preliminary winners:

• Talent — Miss Capital City — Becky Williams
• Evening wear — Miss Heart of the South — Sarah Randolph
• Evening wear — Miss Lafayette County — Madison Belk
