Texas A&M remains 14th in both polls after Mississippi State win

The Texas A&M football team remained 14th in both the Associated Press Top 25 and the USA Today Coaches Poll after knocking off Mississippi State on the road, 34-24.

The Aggies return to Aggieland for a Top 15 matchup with LSU on Saturday, as the Tigers also remained steady at No. 8 in the AP Poll with a win over Arkansas. The Tigers moved up one place to No. 7 in the coaches poll.

After picking up its first loss of the season to Georgia, Texas fell four places to No. 5 in the AP poll. Oregon took over at No. 1 in both sets of rankings.

Nine Southeastern Conference teams were ranked, including No. 25 Vanderbilt, making it’s 2024 debut.
