Search continues for man who fell off barge into Mississippi River
ADAMS COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT) – The restoration effort for a person who slipped off a barge and fell into the Mississippi River continued Wednesday.
Donny Mitchell, 50, of Louisiana, has not been seen since falling into the water Tuesday morning.
In response to Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten, the search staff labored from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, stopping because of inclement climate situations.
Nonetheless, they plan to start out again up on Thursday.
No dive groups have been concerned within the search due to currents and water temperatures, so solely floor searches have been performed thus far.
The search entails Adams County Search and Rescue, Adams County Emergency Medical Help, the Mississippi Division of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks and the Occupational Security and Well being Administration.
