Retired MSU professor releases new book on fishing and hunting

STARKVILLE, Miss.—A brand new guide by a Mississippi State wildlife, fisheries and aquaculture professor emeritus recollects searching and fishing within the South.

Donald Jackson’s “A Sportsman’s Journey,” revealed by the College Press of Mississippi, is his fourth guide and explores the connections between man and his surroundings.

Jackson, who continues instructing Ideas of Fisheries Administration within the Faculty of Forest Assets, stated he hopes readers garner a visceral expertise of life within the nice open air.

“I hope when folks learn the guide, they really feel as in the event that they have been with me whereas I skilled it. Jackson’s profession in instructing, analysis and wildlife left a beloved legacy and popularity with the MSU group. He was honored for his management within the American Fisheries Society Hurricane Catastrophe Reduction Program.

Jackson turned president of the American Fisheries Society in 2009 and is a fellow of the American Institute of Fishery Analysis Biologists.
