Recovery effort underway after man working on barge slips, falls into Mississippi River

ADAMS CO., Miss. (WLBT) – A restoration effort is underway after a person engaged on a barge slipped and fell into the Mississippi River Tuesday morning.

It occurred close to the Natchez Port in Adams County, in accordance with Emergency Administration Company Director Brad Bradford.

Little data has been made out there in regards to the man, 50, from Louisiana.

A number of companies are helping within the restoration effort, together with police, volunteer fireplace groups, search and rescue crews, and the Division of Wildlife and Fisheries.

They are going to search till dusk, Bradford says.

Authorities have arrange a command submit on the Natchez Adams County Port on L.E. Barry Highway.
