NATCHEZ — Natchez police have dominated the demise of a lady whose physique was discovered within the Mississippi River on Thursday a suicide.
The physique of a 39-year-old lady was discovered on Thursday by barge operators on the Mississippi River about 15 miles South of the Natchez bridge.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten stated Natchez police acquired a lacking individual report from a household and the girl’s description matched the stays discovered.
The sheriff’s workplace then turned the investigation over to Natchez police, he stated.
Natchez Police Chief Joseph Daughtry stated the household had messages from the girl that led investigators to consider her demise was a suicide.
“My coronary heart goes out to the household and to the primary responders who assisted within the restoration effort,” Daughtry stated. “Working in New Orleans, I needed to work quite a lot of jobs like this and it doesn’t get any simpler.”
