New Law Extends No-Test Time for Expired Driver’s License

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — A brand new legislation offers Mississippi residents extra time to resume expired driver’s licenses with out having to take a check.

Republican Gov. Tate Reeves signed Home Invoice 971 Thursday, and it grew to become legislation instantly.

It says a license could possibly be expired for as much as 5 years earlier than an individual must take a check to resume it.

Beneath present legislation, a check is required if a driver’s license has been expired 18 months.
