Mississippi’s 2024 primary ballot beginning to take shape

BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) – After Friday’s deadline for congressional candidates to submit their names onto Mississippi’s primary ballot, the ballot is beginning to take shape.

After the deadline day, three candidates, all Republicans, qualified to run for Mississippi’s fourth congressional district. Incumbent Mike Ezell, Michael McGill, and Carl Boyanton will be on the March 12 ballot.

Republicans Dan Eubanks and Ghannon Burton have qualified to run against incumbent Roger Wicker for Senate along with Democrat Ty Pickens.

Presidential candidates seeking to be on the ballot must file the qualifying paperwork by Monday, Jan. 15. The presidential candidates currently include Republicans Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis, Nikki R. Haley, and current President and Democrat Joe Biden.
