Walters, who’s a member of the church and its safety staff, was concerned in an altercation with James Corey Donald, 45, that resulted in Donald being shot, WDAM-TV reported.
After the incident, Sheriff Joe Berlin stated a church safety staff member approached a person earlier than the taking pictures, and an altercation ensued. The person allegedly reached for the safety member’s gun, and a shot was fired, reportedly hitting the person within the higher torso.
The MBI confirmed Donald died Monday from his accidents.
