Mississippi Rep. Wright, a longtime educator, dies at 69

COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) — A longtime educator who gained a particular election to the Mississippi Home in 2020 died Friday.

Republican Rep. Joseph L. “Lynn” Wright of Columbus was 69. State Sen. Chuck Youthful of Columbus instructed the Northeast Mississippi Every day Journal that Wright had Lou Gehrig’s illness.

“He was such a very good man, and folks actually favored him,” Youthful stated.
