Mississippi deputy fatally shoots man, state agency says

BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — A sheriff’s deputy in south Mississippi on Sunday shot and killed an individual who approached the deputy’s parked car whereas holding a weapon, a state company mentioned.

A information launch from the Mississippi Division of Public Security mentioned the Lincoln County deputy was parked on the aspect of a state freeway when the capturing occurred at about 10:30 a.m.

The information launch didn’t identify the deputy or the one who was killed. It mentioned no officers have been injured.
