On Tuesday morning, the Mississippi Aquarium launched six extra Kemp’s ridley sea turtles into the Gulf of Mexico.
The endangered turtles, which have been launched on the seaside in entrance of Edgewater Mall in Biloxi, have been transported from New England to Gulfport again in late 2021. All six have been efficiently rehabilitated by the Mississippi Aquarium after affected by pneumonia because of the frigid japanese waters.
The Mississippi Aquarium has now rehabilitated and launched 57 Kemp’s ridley sea turtles since opening in August 2020. To look at Tuesday’s launch, click on right here.
