Missionaries are bringing ‘pleasure of God’ to Natchez

Practically 30 younger women and men are bringing the enjoyment and love of God to the Natchez neighborhood this week as a part of a mission of the Institute of the Incarnate Phrase.

The mission, coordinated via St. Mary Basilica and St. Joseph Monastery in Adams County, started on March 1 and continues via March 12.

The younger women and men are seminarians and postulants getting ready to hitch orders throughout the Institute of the Incarnate Phrase and the Servants of the Lord and of the Virgin of Matara, communities which might be in relationship with the monks at St. Joseph Monastery at Edgewood.

  • Thursday, Morning residence visits by missionaries at 9 a.m.; Mission Convention in Spanish at St. Joseph Monastery, 6 p.m.
  • Friday, Morning residence visits by missionaries at 9 a.m.; Procession in Natchez, 5:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 11, Morning residence visits by missionaries, 9 a.m.; household day at St. Joseph Monastery, 11 a.m.; Mass on the Basilica, 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 12, Solemn Mass on the Basilica, 10 a.m.
