Miss Mississippi 2022 Emmie Perkins heads to the Miss America competition in a few weeks

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – Miss Mississippi 2022 Emmie Perkins is getting ready to take the stage on the Miss America competitors in only a few weeks.

Sunday afternoon in Vicksburg, supporters gathered for the official Miss Mississippi Ship-Off with a number of encouragement and hope that Mississippi would be the fifth state consultant to win the Miss America crown.

Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs is among the many supporters on the annual Miss Mississippi Ship-off. Emmie Perkins will signify Mississippi on the Miss America competitors subsequent month.

Since successful the state title in June, Perkins has traveled 25,000 miles round Mississippi and the nation.
