Authorities in Mississippi say a man arrested Thursday is suspected in a bank robbery that same day in Huntsville.

The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Office said Scott Alan Tyner, 50, of Arkansas, was arrested at about 1 p.m. Thursday in Iuka, Miss.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators received a tip that Tyner, who is also suspected in a Springfield, Mo. bank robbery, might be in the area. A suspected vehicle was spotted leaving a Walmart in Iuka, a town of about 3,000 in the northeastern part of the state.

Tyner, who officers say was armed, was arrested without incident after a brief pursuit.
