Jackson State president selected one of Mississippi’s most influential African Americans

TUPELO, Miss. (WLBT) – Jackson State College President Thomas Okay. Hudson, J.D., has been chosen one in every of Mississippi’s Most Influential African Individuals for 2022-23 by Our Mississippi journal.

“I’d prefer to thank Our [Mississippi] journal and the committee for this unimaginable recognition,” stated President Hudson. “It’s an honor to work on behalf of the gifted college students, school, and workers of Jackson State College. Our collective efforts shine a highlight on the good developments taking place in Mississippi and I’m proud to be part of that motion.”

Wesley Wells, the writer of Our Mississippi, stated the 12 people had been chosen by “an unbiased panel of state-wide enterprise and group leaders from nominations acquired from the general public.”

“What an superior group of individuals,” Wells stated. “I’d prefer to thank the committee for doing an impressive job… Congratulations to all the chosen people, and likewise to all of the people nominated. We’re happy with the good work they’re doing for the state of Mississippi.”
