Inspection of Interstate 40 Mississippi River Bridge to cause lane closures

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Arkansas Division of Transportation will conduct inspections of the Interstate 40 Mississippi River Bridge.

All work is climate allowing and would require lane closures starting Tuesday for inspection of nonredundant metal pressure. Inspections shall be finished in each east and westbound instructions with each taking roughly 4 days to finish in accordance with ARDOT.

Just one lane of visitors in every route shall be closed at a time and shall be restricted to the next instances:

  • Westbound exterior: Monday-Friday | Daybreak – 3 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday | Daybreak-Nightfall
  • Eastbound exterior: Monday – Friday | 9 a.m. – Nightfall
  • Saturday and Sunday | Daybreak-Nightfall

The subsequent section of inspection for this bridge will occur this summer time in accordance with ARDOT.
