WINONA, Minn. – A fishing firm simply netted a file variety of invasive carp in a part of the Mighty Mississippi. 

Anglers made the catch within the river close to Winona earlier this week. They reeled in 39 of the fish – essentially the most ever captured on the identical time this far upstream.

The Minnesota Division of Pure Assets employed the anglers to assist cease the carp from spreading. The fish threaten rivers by competing with native species.

The DNR plans to web extra invasive carp within the Mississippi River subsequent month.
