DKG makes donations, honors 2022 Lady of Distinction

Delta Kappa Gamma Worldwide Theta Chapter members Nancy Sullivan and Pam McLemore delivered baskets of classroom provides to first-year lecturers within the space as a present of help and encouragement.

Chapter members contributed books to be given to households of newborns at King’s Daughters Medical Middle in Brookhaven. The annual Ferst Readers challenge promotes literacy and the love of studying in younger kids.

The December assembly of DKG Theta Chapter was on the house of Jean Ricks in Wesson, on Dec. 5. Visitors loved festive decorations and finger meals. DKG State President Janice Garrett spoke to the group about growing membership. Theta Chapter President Nancy Sullivan introduced the 2022 recipient of the Lady of Distinction Award, Polly White. White retired in Could 2022 after serving as an elementary trainer in grades Ok-4 for 33 years. She has served in numerous DKG positions, together with nominations, communications, legislative and second vp. Since retirement, White has joined the school at By Religion Academy in Brookhaven  the place she continues to encourage and form the lives of her college students.

DKG promotes skilled and private progress of ladies educators and excellence in schooling.
