STARKVILLE — Mississippi State head coach Chris Jans has one other piece from Ben Howland’s roster coming again. Ahead D.J. Jeffries is eradicating his title from the switch portal, per a 247Sports report. 

He entered the portal together with former MSU teammate Derek Fountain on April 15. Jeffries joins guard Shakeel Moore in returning to State after getting into the portal.

Jeffries leaves Jans with three scholarships to award — a pair of which Jans hopes to nail down earlier than June.

Jeffries recorded 8.9 factors, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists per sport as a junior final season. In his first season after transferring from Memphis, he began 31 of 34 video games.
