Congressman Troy Carter to announce federal funds to prevent Southern University facilities from falling into Mississippi River

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Congressman Troy A. Carter, Sr. is planning to announce the award of funds from the US Division of Agriculture (USDA) to shore up Southern College in an effort to guard in opposition to erosion threatening to scrub away college services into the Mississippi River.

The information convention will happen on Wednesday, June 1 on the Donald Wade Home situated within the 8100 block of G. Leon Netterville Drive on Southern College’s Baton Rouge campus starting at 10:30 a.m.
