NEW ORLEANS — The Coast Guard is looking out the Mississippi River close to the financial institution in Algiers after a report that some folks could have gone into the water.

The Algiers ferry was shut down and shuttle bus service was being supplied between the east and west banks for riders who want it as a number of Coast Guard models searched the water.

The RTA confirmed on its app that the ferry was shut down by a Coast Guard operation that wasn’t particularly outlined.

The shut down comes because the ferry was extending its hours to accommodate the massive crowds anticipated to park in Algiers and take the ferry to the French Quarter Competition, which noticed massive crowds Saturday.
