The Arkansas men’s basketball will remain shorthanded Saturday against Mississippi State.
Razorbacks forward Trevon Brazile will miss his sixth consecutive game with knee soreness, per the pregame radio show. It is unclear if the injury is in the same knee in which he tore his anterior cruciate ligament last season.
He did not play in the second half of a 77-51 loss at Ole Miss on Jan. 24 and has remained inactive since.
Brazile had averaged 8.9 points and 6.5 rebounds this season.
Forward Jalen Graham is also out for the Mississippi State game with a shoulder injury sustained against Tennessee. Graham had averaged 7.4 points and 3 rebounds and shot 56% from the field.
Graham has been an important part of the Razorbacks’ front-court offense that had improved in recent games before being grounded against the Volunteers.
The front-court depth of Arkansas (12-12, 3-8 SEC) will be tested further without Graham, particularly with All-SEC caliber forward Tolu Smith III on the other side.
Conversely, Mississippi State (16-8, 5-6) may be at full strength for the first time this season. Both Trey Fort and DJ Jeffries, who have missed recent games, participated in some pregame shoot arounds and warmups, per 247Sports’ Justin Frommer.
Arkansas and Mississippi State tip at 1 p.m. on ESPNU.
