Police: Miami-Dade man masturbates in front of woman before attacking her

GOLDEN BEACH, Fla. – A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday after he masturbated in front of a woman and then attacked her, Miami-Dade police said.

According to the suspect’s arrest report, the attack was reported around 2:15 a.m. Monday along Ocean Boulevard in Golden Beach.

Police said the 58-year-old victim told them she was walking in the area when she was called over by the suspect, later identified as Gabriel Flores.

The woman claimed that Flores exposed his penis to her and began masturbating, so she immediately turned around and fled from the area, climbing over a fence in an effort to get away from him.

According to the arrest report, Flores followed the victim and punched her in the face.

Police said the victim fell to the ground and Flores began to choke her.

He then groped her breasts and digitally penetrated her while she was struggling to free herself and screaming for help, authorities said.

Police said he then fled the scene on foot.

According to the report, Flores told police he could not recall anything before invoking his right to have an attorney present before speaking with them further.

Flores was arrested on charges of sexual battery, battery and indecent exposure.

Copa America final in Miami: Resale ticket selling, trading, giving away may be opportunity for criminals

MIAMI – Law enforcement wants Argentina and Colombia fans to remember that responding to ads related to resale ticket selling, trading, or “giving away” tickets could present an opportunity for criminals.

Verified resale tickets in the primary market, meaning tickets sold by fans and authenticated by Ticketmaster, were still available Saturday for the match at 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Hard Rock Stadium, in Miami Gardens.

The FBI has warned about cybercriminals who use ticket scalping bots to exploit the online secondary ticket marketplace that “is rife with counterfeit or invalid tickets.” The Federal Trade Commission has been dealing with the battle between bots and the ticket industry.

The online secondary ticket marketplace comes with risks since these depend on the honesty of the resellers. Sites like StubHub, and VividSeats may provide a refund but will not compensate users for other expenses.

The Better Business Bureau aims to help customers gauge trustworthiness. Here are the company policies and accreditations of some of the most popular event ticket sales companies:

There will be several public watch parties in Miami-Dade County. Argentinians and Colombians already have their regular choice of restaurants and bars to help cure the nostalgia of living away from their countries.

Fans may visit the mall in Aventura to explore the exhibits and shop, later go to the Wynwood Marketplace for the ambiance, and then head to Miami Beach where there are two very different watch parties at a poolside club and a theater with a screen.

Miami Heat’s Nikola Jovic’ Likely To Miss Paris Olympics Due To Ankle Injury

It is likely Miami Heat forward Nikola Jovic is going to miss the Olympic Games in Paris later this month.

The Heat organization can only hope Jovic does not miss any time during training camp or the NBA regular season.

Jovic appeared at the Serbian training camp wearing an orthopedic boot on his foot. The possibility of missing the Olympics was first reported by EuroHoops.net. They are reporting he is suffering from a fracture of the ankle joint he sustained in June.

Jovic remained at home while the national team traveled to the Olympic city for a Friday exhibition game with host France. Serbia won 79-67.

Jovic is also expected to miss upcoming exhibition games next week against the United States and Australia in Abu Dhabi. He was expected to start in the front court for Serbia along with Nikola Jokic.

Jovic played in 46 regular season games and averaged 7.7 points and 4.2 rebounds. He played in only four of the first 30 contests for the Heat to start the season. He would eventually play himself into the rotation and ultimately become the starter at power forward.

“It means a lot,” Jovic said during the season of being named a starter in only his second NBA season. “I’m happy they gave me me a chance. I worked hard for it.”

The 6-foot-10 Jovic also played in all five playoff games against the Boston Celtics and averaged 9.4 points and 6.6 rebounds.

MIAMI – Many local Colombian-American and Argentinian-American fans couldn’t afford to buy tickets for the Copa América 2024 final on Sunday in Miami Gardens.

Many traveled far hoping to cheer for Argentina and Colombia outside The Hard Rock Stadium as fans often do in other parts of the world. That won’t be happening.

The stadium staff announced that “fans MUST have game tickets” to be in the property and there will not be formal or informal watch parties outside the stadium or in the parking lots.

There will be several public watch parties in Miami-Dade County. Argentinians and Colombians already have their regular choice of restaurants and bars to help cure the nostalgia of living away from their countries.
