Miami Hurricanes Transfer Portal Headquarters
The Transfer Portal’s second window is April 16-30, and Mario Cristobal‘s Miami Hurricanes are on the hunt for more talent. In the first portal window, of course, the team added QB Cam Ward, QB Reese Poffenbarger, C Zach Carpenter, DE Elijah Alston, DT CJ Clark, DT Marley Cook, DB Mishael Powell, S Savion Riley and walkon DB Isaiah Taylor.
CaneSport will continue to update the arrivals and departures of players as they occur with the next two weeks is expected to be very busy for a Miami team that ended the spring over the 85 limit including the 10 new freshmen set to report this summer (CB Romanas Frederique, DL Artavius Jones, RB Jordan Lyle, S Ryan Mack, OL Juan Minaya, DE Booker Pickett, WR Chance Robinson, DE Elias Rudolph, DL Daylen Russell and DT Justin Scott). From the end of spring roster five players, by our count (after the spring departures of Henry Parrish and Nyjalik Kelly), need to depart, and for each transfer added this second portal window another returner will also need to leave to stay at the required 85 limit.
We expect the following to be targeted:
1 RB (Oregon State’s Damien Martinez has emerged as one that’s likely)
1-2 WR
1-2 DL (USC transfer Romello Height has visited Miami and said he “loved” visit)
1 LB
1 CB (Marshall CB transfer D’yoni Hill says Miami is in consideration … why he might make sense for the Hurricanes)
1 Safety
So yeah, it’s going to be very busy through the end of the month.
We will keep you updated on arrivals and departures, and the scholarship eligibility tracker below will also be updated as changes occur.
