Miami-Dade wants Feds to pay a larger portion of Metrorail expansion

Final month, the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners accepted to speed up improvement of the Metrorail’s north hall. Now the county’s transportation planning board is asking the federal authorities to contribute a bigger share of the $1.9 billion price ticket.

This week, in a unanimous vote, Miami-Dade’s transportation planning board handed a decision elevating the requested federal value share of the venture which might lengthen the elevated rail line to Arduous Rock Stadium.
