Inter Miami joined Inter Miami on a free transfer

An Inter Miami player has expressed frustration with his situation following the arrival of World Cup winner Lionel Messi.

Major League Soccer only allows teams to have three designated players on the roster, which sees those players earn above the league’s salary cap.

Miami have already signed Messi and Sergio Busquets, while are they are reportedly looking at bringing in another a European-based player in the coming weeks.

As a result, Rodolfo Pizzaro is one player who could lose his spot as one of the designated players on the team, which could see the midfielder being traded to another team.

“I do think it’s hard, I have a contract,” Pizzaro said, as per the Mirror.

“I didn’t know I could be traded anyways. It’s a bit strange. I think it’s the only league in the world that does this.”

New Miami coach Gerardo Martino also addressed the situation this week, with Messi set to make his debut later in this month.

“We know about his situation. There’s the (sporting) part of things, and then there are questions that have to do distinctly with the club’s leadership, in terms of his future,” Martino added.
