The Justice Division’s dealing with of a former Trump Cupboard secretary, Ryan Zinke, paints fairly a unique image. Certainly, it suggests an actual reluctance to pursue even what would appear to be a powerful case for prosecution.
On Wednesday, a long-awaited report from the Inside Division’s inspector basic discovered that Zinke lied and misled his manner by an inquiry into potential misdeeds throughout his time as secretary of that division.
Crucially, that is the second time the IG has reached such a conclusion about Zinke, who’s favored to win a congressional seat in Montana this fall. And likewise crucially, it’s the second time the Biden Justice Division has declined to prosecute the case.
