Maryland weather: Showers and flurries for the first week of 2024

The first week of 2024 is forecast to be cold and sunny, with low temperatures around the 20s and 30s and highs in the 40s.

However, we could see showers and snow flurries: There’s a slight chance of snow New Year’s day at 30%, and snow is likely again on Saturday night at 80%.

New Year’s day will reach as high as 44 degrees and as low as around 30 degrees. There is a 30% chance of scatter rain showers and snow flurries before 8 p.m., but the snow forecast shouldn’t be an inch in the Baltimore metro area, according to the National Weather Service.

The NWS forecasts Tuesday to have a high of 45 degrees and a low around 27 degrees. Also, it is forecast to be windy with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Wednesday is forecast to be the warmest day of the week, with a high around 48 degrees and a low around 31 degrees.

The NWS forecast Thursday to be breezy with temperatures as high as 45 degrees and will drop to 23 degrees.

Similarly, Friday will have a high of 43 degrees and a low around 24 degrees.

On Saturday, there’s a 60% of rain and snow during the day when temperatures will only get as high as 39 degrees. At night, chances of rain and snow will rise to 80% when temperatures hit a low at around 31.

On Sunday, there will be a 40% chance of rain and snow, with a high of 42.
