A Maryland mom has gained $50,000 within the first scratch-off lottery ticket she has ever purchased, officers say. 

Nichole Balsoma of Glen Burnie, outdoors of Baltimore, gained the prize after deciding to go for an power drink over espresso in the future for her morning beverage, in accordance with the Maryland Lottery.
